Kent was granted a wish by the Make a Wish Foundation. He wanted to get all the Star Wars Legos there are (which, unfortunately, is impossible!), but he did get a whole bunch of Legos! And he was able to have his friends and their families there to celebrate with him and our family on July 10th. It was a fabulous event, and I am so thankful to Make a Wish and all they do!!
Arriving at the Make a Wish building in Salt Lake City, which is beautiful!
They have hundreds of shooting stars hanging from the ceiling. Kent got a blue one, and was able to write whatever he wanted before raising it up to the sky. Beautiful moment!
We had lots of people there (82, to be exact!). Annie, from Make a Wish, was giving us a tour and explaining about the building, etc.
Then we went upstairs, where Kent made his wish official. He wrote it down, put it inside this cone, and then Annie used a key to open up the wishing room door.
Inside we were surrounded by Star Wars! And a beautiful fountain! Kent put the top of the cone in, and the room/tower was lit up with beautiful colors! Very fun!

Then we went back downstairs for cake and rootbeer floats!
Then he said they had more gifts, and they all started coming in....and they didn't stop!!
Opening up some of the Legos that were wrapped...
Look at this!!! What a haul! :)
The above picture is of Kent's Kronies. :) Kent's friends gave themselves that name. Victor made them all matching shirts for this celebration. It was so cool that all of them were able to be there, with their families. Once in a lifetime!!!
There is a wishing pond out back. Annie gave all the kids wishing tokens (Kent's holding one) to throw in the pond. It was just beautiful!
Loading up!
What an absolutely beautiful experience!! THANK YOU to everyone who shared in this amazing day with us!!

Finally you updated your blog. Looks like you guys had an awesome time and wow look at all those legos he got. That is so cool that Kent's friends and their families could all be there.
Who knows what Zach wants, but he has sometime. I have tried to ask him what he wants, but I don't think he understands what I am asking him some of the time.
What a great day. It is captured perfectly in your blog post! Thanks for inviting us!
This made me tear up!! What a wonderful thing that those people do for kids. Kent will be busy all winter with those legos! Tell him we want to see some finished models when we return.
What an incredible experience! I hope Kent is having a blast with the Legos. Tell him Dan would be very jealous!! (Maybe he can come play with Kent sometime) :)
